Responsibilities
- Build and automate Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Support cloud migration projects as products move onto the Cloudnxt Azure platform.
- Develop version-controlled automation for Microsoft and Linux environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Jenkins or equivalent technologies.
- Use generative AI tools to support coding, automation, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Create technical documentation, procedures, and runbooks and contribute to broader operational responsibilities when required.
Requirements
- Practical experience delivering Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Experience with a major cloud platform, preferably Azure, or relevant AWS experience transferable to Azure.
- Software engineering capability demonstrated through development, advanced scripting, or automation projects.
- Programming or scripting experience with a relevant language such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Java.
- Experience automating Microsoft and Windows environments and willingness to work across Windows and Linux.
- Experience with CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- An automation-focused engineering mindset and ability to learn unfamiliar technologies.
- Willingness to use generative AI in engineering workflows and review, validate, and improve generated outputs.
- Desirable experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, automation, migrations, or landing zones.
- Desirable experience with Ansible or other configuration management technologies.
- Knowledge of monitoring, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, vulnerability remediation, or cloud security is desirable.
- Experience using Claude or another generative AI assistant for engineering, troubleshooting, log analysis, or documentation is desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate are desirable.
