Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of the Airwallex engineering system.
- Work with business and product teams to analyze requirements, design architecture, and develop core functions for complex systems.
- Design and develop components using the company’s microservice framework.
- Introduce innovative technologies and solutions to the team.
- Help construct and manage the technical team and establish internal coding standards.
- Build scalable billing, pricing, and invoicing capabilities that support Airwallex and customer integrations.
Requirements
- More than 8 years of Core Java development experience and more than 5 years of internet application, large financial system, or e-commerce platform development experience.
- At least 1 year of payment platform development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related major.
- Proficiency in Java 8, Java multithreading, high concurrency, IO/NIO, and network communication.
- Experience designing and developing large-scale distributed, high-concurrency, high-load, and high-availability systems.
- Knowledge of server technologies, service-response and data-query optimization, design patterns, and service-quality management.
- Familiarity with Spring and Spring Boot, HTTP, TCP/IP, REST specifications, Docker clusters, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with Gradle, Maven, or other build tools.
- Preferred experience with international clearing and settlement or foreign exchange transactions.
- Preferred familiarity with Cassandra, Redis, NoSQL, Hadoop, Kotlin, Scala, Python, Golang, R, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, JavaScript, Angular, React, CSS3, Aliyun Cloud, or AWS.
- Fluent English is preferred.
