Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities and technical tasks of engineers as a project or system leader.
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve scalable, high-performance software systems and applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, management, partners, and customers on technical solutions and engineering standards.
- Conduct design reviews, identify performance bottlenecks, and improve system reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve development velocity and code quality.
- Plan and coordinate software releases and participate in large-scale production rollouts.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented design and development.
- Strong experience with server-side Java, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, GitHub, distributed systems, database design, programming, tuning, and query optimization.
- Experience with testing methodologies and tools such as TestNG and JUnit.
- Ability to work across the full stack and participate throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Strong complex problem-solving, collaboration, communication, documentation, and remote teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of QA automation processes and tools is preferred.
- Practical experience with AI tools and technologies and the ability to evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies is preferred.
