Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate services for Alexa+ model evaluation, including test case storage, execution, build processes, and evaluation systems.
- Develop multi-tier frameworks that measure model accuracy across millions of requests.
- Build multi-agent coordination systems that route requests to expert agents with minimal latency.
- Manage LLM inference orchestration and deliver reliable, low-latency responses at global scale.
- Own operational excellence for core services, including 99.99%+ availability.
- Collaborate with applied scientists and ML engineers to integrate AI capabilities into production.
- Drive architectural decisions balancing performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Mentor teammates and provide technical leadership through code reviews and design reviews.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
