Base Salary
$90k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define software requirements specifications, architecture, designs, and implementation plans.
- Develop and maintain Windows-based applications and interfaces with SCADA systems.
- Implement communication with SCADA systems using Genisys, Modbus, UDP, TCP/IP, and serial communication.
- Integrate software with PLCs from various vendors, including Allen-Bradley.
- Make major technical choices for software development and maintain legacy C, C++, and C#/.NET codebases.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, architecture documentation, and integration documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define system requirements and ensure integration.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles and follow requirements, traceability, defect tracking, and source code management processes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
- Support software engineering targets related to safety, scope, quality, schedule, budget, staffing, and technical performance.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software development and architecture in a Windows environment.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, and C#/.NET.
- Strong experience with SCADA systems and industrial automation interfaces.
- In-depth knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP communication protocols.
- Experience integrating PLCs and industrial control systems.
- Preferred experience with front-end and back-end web GUI or full-stack development.
- Preferred experience with real-time and embedded development, FPGA, board bring-up, peripheral bring-up, and low-level driver development.
- Preferred knowledge of industrial cybersecurity best practices and familiarity with scripting in Python or PowerShell.
- Preferred experience developing in Linux, working with GPS technologies and client-server architectures, and using Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, WPF, and WCF.
- Preferred exposure to AI frameworks or machine learning libraries and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
