Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable applications using C#, .NET, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
- Build and maintain APIs and microservices integrating internal financial systems and third-party platforms.
- Develop and manage Microsoft Azure solutions including App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, and API Management.
- Design, optimize, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, schemas, stored procedures, functions, views, queries, indexes, and performance tuning.
- Modernize legacy .NET Framework applications by migrating them to .NET Core, .NET 8+, and cloud-native designs.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes within agreed SLAs.
- Write maintainable and documented code, unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and manage code through GitHub.
- Gather requirements, refine Jira user stories, and collaborate with US-based stakeholders and team members across time zones.
- Follow security, compliance, and data privacy standards for financial and customer data.
- Contribute to AI-enabled workflows and applications as the team's AI roadmap develops.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience with C# and .NET or .NET Core.
- Strong experience with ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework or EF Core, and LINQ.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native development.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including complex T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, indexing, performance tuning, execution plans, and data modeling.
- Understanding of transactions, locking, and data integrity for financial data.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs and familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of application security practices including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Azure AD or Entra ID, and secure sensitive-data handling.
- Experience supporting production applications, including monitoring, logging, and incident resolution with tools such as Application Insights and Azure Monitor.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira; Confluence experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across time zones.
