Responsibilities
- Build data ownership, lineage, quality monitoring, data contracts, and traceability systems for risk decisions.
- Design and implement continuous monitoring and validation for control effectiveness, including trigger validation, drift detection, false-positive and false-negative detection, coverage analysis, and control health scoring.
- Create audit trail infrastructure, change history tracking, and explainability tooling for regulatory reporting and compliance evidence generation.
- Design scalable, robust, high-throughput solutions for large data volumes across multiple risk domains.
- Integrate governance and assurance capabilities into the Risk API platform through shared data contracts and clean integration points.
- Work with Risk API, Product, and Financial Crime stakeholders to align on contracts, data models, and integration patterns.
Requirements
- Proven experience building high-throughput, data-intensive backend systems in any language.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, SQL, NoSQL databases, and designing for scale and reliability.
- Experience with data quality frameworks, pipeline orchestration, or lineage tracking.
- Ability to reason about complex distributed systems, identify failure modes, and design robust, operationally simple solutions.
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments and drive delivery from high-level objectives.
- Ability to collaborate across team boundaries with Risk API, Product, and Financial Crime stakeholders.
