Base Salary
$198k - $296k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship critical features for the Specialist Visits product using the existing stack.
- Establish engineering standards for the new initiative and build trust with Product and Design partners.
- Lead complex cross-team initiatives and guide the team through ambiguous technical problems.
- Mentor senior engineers through design guidance and feedback while raising the technical bar.
- Design scalable services, APIs, and data models capable of supporting 100x growth.
- Drive the architectural vision and long-term technical strategy for the product’s scale-up plans.
- Balance immediate delivery with system reliability, maintainability, and future product needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least eight years of non-internship software engineering experience building scalable backend systems and microservices.
- Expertise across web, mobile, and backend development, including React.js, React Native, Golang or similar backend technologies, and TypeScript.
- Experience architecting scalable APIs using REST or gRPC and designing data models for exponential growth.
- Experience leading technical execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional partners.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
- Preferred experience designing systems in rapid-growth 0-to-1 environments and navigating ambiguity.
- Preferred familiarity with React Native, React, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, GraphQL, Docker, Golang, AWS, Postgres, Temporal, and gRPC.
- Preferred experience with integration-heavy systems involving hospital systems, health plans, or external partners.
- Preferred experience in healthcare, insurance technology, or high-compliance industries such as HIPAA- or SOC 2-regulated environments.
