Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for agentic systems supporting Core OS software triage.
- Own the architecture and reliability of production infrastructure running AI/ML workloads.
- Build and ship LLM-based systems with tool calling, orchestration, guardrails, and feedback loops.
- Design evaluation frameworks including offline benchmarks, regression testing, drift detection, and confidence scoring.
- Influence engineering teams across Software, Hardware, and Silicon to adopt the platform.
- Drive multi-quarter projects through ambiguity, make architecture and build-vs-reuse decisions, and mentor engineers.
- Present technical tradeoffs and outcomes to senior engineering leadership and write design documents aligning multiple teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production distributed systems or data platforms at scale.
- Expert-level Python and strong system design skills, with experience owning architectures for dependent services.
- 2+ years building and shipping LLM-based or agentic systems to production, including tool calling, orchestration, and guardrails.
- Hands-on experience designing evaluation frameworks for ML/LLM systems.
- Deep knowledge of RAG architectures, embedding generation, vector databases, and data preparation for agentic workflows.
- Proven technical leadership across ambiguous, multi-quarter projects and organizational boundaries.
- BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Preferred: kernel or OS-level debugging, crash and panic analysis, complex-system root-cause investigation, large-scale telemetry or observability systems, and widely adopted platforms or developer tools.
