Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and iterate on rendering features for terrain, vegetation, foliage, and world-composition systems.
- Develop world-rendering features that scale across multiple platforms and hardware capabilities.
- Balance visual quality, streaming, level of detail, memory footprint, and runtime performance across large seamless worlds.
- Maintain and update the world-rendering pipeline and tools for new SDKs, middleware versions, and graphics APIs.
- Collaborate with programmers, artists, testers, and technology users to define rendering requirements and improvements.
- Contribute to the development of junior team members and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Professional experience with C++ programming.
- Experience with performance-critical and/or rendering programming.
- Solid understanding of graphics APIs and modern rendering pipelines.
- Strong debugging skills and awareness of developments in graphics APIs and hardware.
- Knowledge of internal tools used in video game production pipelines.
- Ability to estimate task duration and understand dependencies.
- Fluent English, strong communication skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving ability.
