Responsibilities
- Estimate user stories, features, and tasks and commit work during Sprint Planning.
- Contribute to backlog refinement and clarify requirements with the Product Owner.
- Confirm that code and acceptance tests reflect the desired functionality.
- Identify and communicate technical, operational, and personal impediments and risks.
- Track task status, remaining effort, change requests, impacts, risks, and timelines.
- Develop and deliver working software aligned with team objectives and iteration plans.
- Design and evolve systems for testability and test automation.
- Prototype solutions and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across products, locations, cultures, and time zones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a directly related equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of related software development experience using Java and Spring, preferably Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with web application frameworks, microservice-oriented architecture, and APIs.
- Knowledge of SQL technologies such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and experience with NoSQL technologies.
- Experience with Git, container platforms, CI/CD practices, and tools such as Docker, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or TypeScript.
- Experience developing reusable UI components, multi-theming, and decomposing wireframes into UI elements.
- Knowledge of software design patterns, standards, best practices, Maven, and shell scripting.
- Experience working with multiple data formats and rapidly understanding software from source code.
- Experience collaborating in Agile teams on epics, features, user stories, solution design, and architecture.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, creative problem-solving, mentoring, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Preferred: basic Python and Django experience.
- A master’s degree with at least 1 year of related experience may qualify under the stated education and experience combination.
