Responsibilities
- Own and ship a scoped software project from design through production with mentor support.
- Build production features used by ShopBack members.
- Use coding agents and verify, test, and review their output.
- Build reusable AI skills, tools, or agent workflows for the team.
- Write evaluations and tests to measure the quality of AI-powered work.
Requirements
- Demonstrate clean coding, design patterns, data structures, APIs, and testing fundamentals.
- Have built projects outside class through side projects, hackathons, open source, or freelance work.
- Show applied AI experience such as an LLM API application, custom agent, MCP server, end-to-end automation, or prompt/model evaluation.
- Be curious and skeptical about AI outputs and verify results before trusting them.
- Learn quickly, ask good questions, and work comfortably with unfamiliar concepts.
