Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable Python backend services and FastAPI APIs.
- Build and maintain microservices supporting enterprise applications, integrations, and data and analytics operations.
- Implement database access and persistence layers using SQLAlchemy and relational databases.
- Develop asynchronous tasks, scheduled jobs, and background workflows with Celery.
- Support ETL processes and data workflow orchestration.
- Integrate applications with third-party APIs and Azure services, including authentication and access controls.
- Containerize applications with Docker and deploy and operate services in Kubernetes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, improve reliability, and optimize application performance.
- Contribute to dashboards and supporting services for enterprise data and analytics operations.
- Document APIs, integrations, technical decisions, and development processes.
- Collaborate with team members to clarify requirements, identify risks, and deliver maintainable solutions.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and risks proactively while ensuring commitments are met.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience developing backend applications and services with Python.
- Strong proficiency with FastAPI for backend development and REST API design.
- Practical experience with SQLAlchemy, relational databases, and SQL query optimization.
- Experience with Celery and asynchronous task orchestration.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices and integrating third-party APIs.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud authentication and authorization, and cloud service integrations.
- Understanding of ETL workflows, data orchestration, application reliability, error handling, troubleshooting, and maintainable software design.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, ownership, autonomy, documentation, and communication skills.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to collaborate with a US-based team.
