Base Salary

$125k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python and similar languages for manufacturing and engineering design verification.
  • Write automation software that interacts with flight hardware, test equipment, instrumentation, and production-documentation systems.
  • Enable test execution across hardware-in-the-loop and virtualized hardware-simulation environments.
  • Create custom automation solutions using embedded electronics and innovative hardware.
  • Develop algorithms to analyze test data and determine component acceptance-criteria compliance.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automation infrastructure and identify root causes with partner teams.
  • Define project plans, manage milestones, and conduct reviews to deliver reliable test systems to production.
  • Develop tools supporting frequent software deployment, test execution, and data analysis within continuous-integration and release systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline, or at least two years of professional software-development experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least one year of software-development experience in C, C++, Python, or full-stack development; internship experience applies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and experience with configuration management and version-control software.
  • Experience with continuous integration, monitoring, agile development, process automation, testing, and manufacturing-yield improvement.
  • Experience with control feedback loops, numerical analysis, signal processing, embedded hardware, software-hardware troubleshooting, and real-world software deployments.
  • Knowledge of digital and analog interfaces including GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, Modbus, and analog-to-digital conversion.
  • Preferred experience includes spacecraft fluid systems, high-power electrical systems, RF system design, modems, diagnostic test equipment, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance-optimization, and unit-testing skills, with fundamentals in networks, electronics, RF communications, optics, math, and physics.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
