Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable ML infrastructure on AWS.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, alerting, and operational tasks using Terraform and Helm.
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines and Git repositories for ML projects.
- Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to understand infrastructure needs and provide solutions.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues and implement security best practices.
- Document infrastructure designs, processes, and operational procedures.
- Identify infrastructure gaps and propose improvements.
- For the senior level, lead significant technical solutions, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical alignment across teams.
Requirements
- BS/MS with 2–3 years of industry experience for the Machine Learning Engineer level or 3–5 years for the Senior Machine Learning Engineer level.
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, and SageMaker.
- Strong proficiency with Git and Git repository management.
- Hands-on Terraform experience for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Helm experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, initiative, and project-delivery skills.
- Ability to write clean code and apply software engineering practices including linting automation, unit testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with modern machine-learning methods and experience with high-performance computing, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
- Preferred: experience with MLOps platforms and tools, ML workflow CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring or logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
