Responsibilities
- Develop and engineer solutions within an Agile software delivery team, including writing code and delivering sprint goals.
- Design, document, and develop enterprise applications using modern technologies and software design patterns.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle and collaborate continuously with stakeholders.
- Influence software architecture and help define technical and team standards.
- Implement cloud-native, service-oriented, microservices, and API-based solutions.
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership for engineering teams.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- 5+ years of development experience using Java.
- Experience with software engineering best practices including unit testing, automation, design patterns, and peer review.
- Strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented principles using Java.
- Experience with cloud-native development and container orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Experience with service-oriented and microservices architectures, including REST and GraphQL implementations.
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, including tools such as Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Agile and iterative software delivery.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: experience with horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low-latency applications; cloud infrastructure; event-driven architecture; API management; infrastructure as code; security, observability, and monitoring tools; mentoring teams of five or more developers; databases and web technologies such as Angular or React.
