Responsibilities
- Design and build frameworks, tools, and services to improve infrastructure reliability and scalability.
- Lead end-to-end projects from scoping and design to rollout across multiple systems.
- Enhance the operability of stateful infrastructure like MySQL and DynamoDB.
- Debug production issues and ensure long-term reliability.
- Collaborate with product teams to develop a service-oriented architecture.
- Share knowledge through code reviews and mentorship.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with experience in production code.
- 5+ years of experience in building and operating backend systems at scale.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and storage technologies in cloud environments.
- Experience with AWS services, Terraform, and monitoring tools like Datadog.
- Solid understanding of SRE principles and a software-first approach to reliability.
- Clear communicator and strong collaborator, comfortable with stakeholder trade-offs.
- Must be capable of building and shipping real systems, not just scripting.
