Responsibilities
- Build and maintain custom software tools and automation for Operations Engineering and the manufacturing floor.
- Integrate shop-floor equipment and MES through SECS/GEM for equipment connectivity, tool control, and real-time monitoring.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Drive projects from initiation through delivery, including scope, schedule, risk, and resourcing management.
- Define and improve engineering and project-management processes, standards, requirements management, issue tracking, and progress metrics.
- Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors on infrastructure, cloud, security, and shared tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 8–10 years of software development or engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor or factory-operations environments.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals across Windows and Linux, with core-language experience in Python and C/C++; C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Groovy, and BASH are additional qualifications.
- Hands-on factory-automation and equipment-integration experience, including MES integration and SECS/GEM connectivity.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- English proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with make files, compilers, assemblers, and linkers is preferred.
- Experience with shop-floor tool interfaces and real-time equipment monitoring at scale is preferred.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence is preferred.
- Japanese or Chinese language proficiency is preferred.
