Base Salary
$220k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and lead development of a low-latency, high-throughput algorithmic trading and Smart Order Router system.
- Implement routing algorithms based on execution quality, liquidity, latency, and cost.
- Collaborate with traders and product managers to refine routing logic and develop algorithmic capabilities.
- Integrate the Smart Order Router with trading, booking, and reporting systems.
- Monitor and optimize production performance and improve resilience and failover mechanisms.
- Mentor junior developers, enforce code quality standards, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Provide support for production trading issues.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing routing strategies for specific markets such as U.S. equities, European markets, or crypto exchanges.
- Knowledge of tick data analytics and real-time market data processing.
- Experience in high-frequency or algorithmic trading environments.
- Experience building low-latency systems and working with multicast and unicast market data feeds.
- Proficiency with FIX protocol and trading system architecture, including OMS/EMS and market gateways.
- Familiarity with concurrency, networking, memory management, Linux systems, and performance profiling tools.
- Understanding of application stacks, infrastructure, system architecture, and technical workflows for electronic and algorithmic trading.
- Familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments.
- Bonus experience includes electronic trading, order types, market microstructure, DeFi or crypto, regulatory or compliance-driven environments, AWS, GCP, or DevOps processes.
- Ability to solve problems proactively and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
