Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve scalable, high-performance distributed systems and backend platforms.
- Lead automation strategy and implementation across multiple technical areas and teams to eliminate manual processes and improve reliability.
- Modernize legacy platforms and influence technical decisions across dependent teams and departments.
- Develop and optimize backend APIs, services, synchronous and asynchronous integrations, REST and GraphQL interfaces, Kafka-based systems, and messaging queues.
- Write secure, clean, well-tested code and promote engineering quality through code reviews and mentorship.
- Mentor engineers on architecture, modern development patterns, and industry best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve system capabilities and developer efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, business, and other cross-functional teams to align technical execution with business goals.
- Champion CI/CD, automated testing, observability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience building enterprise-grade backend platforms and services.
- Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and scalable microservice architectures.
- Experience with generative AI using LLMs, MCP, and/or predictive maintenance.
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, K8s/AKS, and Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud-native storage solutions.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and leading technical work.
