Software Defined Networking : Software Engineer III
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software for networking infrastructure.
- Write production-quality code in Go, Python, or C/C++.
- Design and architect JPMC-VPC control-plane, data-plane, gateway, load-balancer, and IPAM/DNS components.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Analyze large, diverse data sets and use visualizations, reporting, and identified patterns to improve software and system architecture.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and at least 3 years of applied experience for specified NAMR/APAC India, LATAM, and Hong Kong locations; EMEA/LATAM-Brazil requirements follow local guidance for advanced applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages.
- Hands-on experience using authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating and refining generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and application resiliency and security practices.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end and cloud technologies.
- Preferred experience with DPU/SmartNIC technologies, high-performance networking frameworks, CNI implementations, Kubernetes networking, and advanced routing protocols.
