Responsibilities
- Own a 6–12 month roadmap for shared microservices infrastructure and break complex goals into incremental delivery phases.
- Translate business needs into scalable, reliable, cost-efficient, and sustainable technical solutions.
- Design and operate platform components, including Terraform automation and infrastructure-as-code workflows for repeatable cloud provisioning.
- Improve team-wide scalability, observability, incident response, and cost-efficiency practices.
- Participate in technical design, triage, and on-call rotations while addressing incident root causes and communicating risks and mitigations.
- Partner with product and infrastructure teams to resolve platform friction and promote repeatable engineering patterns.
- Lead design reviews, raise code quality standards, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Backend-focused software engineering experience delivering robust technical solutions and operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with agile and iterative development processes.
- Experience mentoring engineers and helping them develop their skills.
