Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, and code reviews for robust and scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns, developing standard procedures, and enhancing existing applications.
- Maintain codebases, review code changes, investigate relevant technologies, and support technical customer issues.
- Lead or participate in projects, mentor less experienced developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Drive cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives and translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in Java full-stack development and 15 years of full-time education.
- At least 8 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments, including mission-critical and low-latency solutions.
- At least 10 years of experience with Java Enterprise Edition.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems, data architecture, software security practices, and shell scripting.
- Ability to lead technical direction, mentor developers, make independent decisions, and collaborate across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- React, Pulsar, Snowflake, big data, machine learning, LLM, automation, and engineering-toolchain experience are preferred or advantageous.
