Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver complex, multi-sprint frontend initiatives using Angular and TypeScript.
- Own customer-facing functionality from requirements through implementation, API integration, automated testing, observability, and production deployment.
- Establish reusable frontend patterns, component architecture, state-management approaches, and scalable technical boundaries.
- Work across service and API boundaries, including PHP and Node.js/TypeScript services, to troubleshoot and evolve integrations.
- Scope timelines, break down complex work, coordinate cross-team dependencies, and maintain delivery momentum.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, pairing, and technical discussions.
- Raise standards for frontend testing, accessibility, performance, CI/CD, observability, and technical-debt management.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, SRE, and platform engineering teams on customer experiences and technical tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript and modern web frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Angular architecture, components, application state, routing, reactive programming, design systems, frontend performance, and accessibility.
- Proven experience owning customer-facing functionality from ambiguous requirements through production delivery.
- Experience with REST APIs, service contracts, authentication, asynchronous workflows, distributed systems, and backend code navigation.
- Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end automated testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Ability to guide engineers through technical uncertainty, establish reusable patterns, solve complex frontend problems, and mentor peers.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills with Engineering, Product, Design, QA, and SRE teams.
- Experience with shared component libraries or design systems is a bonus.
- Experience improving web performance and accessibility, including relevant browser behavior and measurement tooling, is a bonus.
- Backend or integration experience in PHP or Node.js/TypeScript is a bonus.
- Aspiration toward Staff Engineer or formal technical leadership is a bonus.
