Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy software solutions across HelloFresh markets and brands.
- Own features end to end from problem discovery and solution shaping through development, quality engineering, deployment, and monitoring.
- Build accessible, performant frontend experiences using React, TypeScript, and related technologies.
- Contribute to APIs, backend services, integrations, and data across the full stack.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create scalable customer and internal-user solutions.
- Participate in technical discovery, architecture, and design discussions.
- Apply DevOps and software engineering practices to build, deploy, and operate reliable software.
- Use AI coding agents to explore, plan, develop, debug, and improve software.
- Share knowledge through code reviews, pairing, mentoring, and technical discussions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience in an agile software development team.
- 2+ years of hands-on React and TypeScript experience, or experience with a similar modern JavaScript framework such as Angular or Vue.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, state management, API integration, performance, and accessibility.
- Experience delivering end-to-end features from implementation through deployment and monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with continuous delivery and deploying customer-facing applications.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and functional quality engineering tests, with practices such as TDD or BDD.
- Understanding of backend architecture, APIs, service contracts, and end-to-end collaboration with backend engineers.
- Experience with server-side technologies such as Next.js, Nest.js, Remix, or Node.js.
- Proficiency with GraphQL and/or REST APIs and working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Honeycomb, Sentry, Datadog, or New Relic.
- Experience with experimentation such as A/B or multivariate testing.
- Comfort working with cloud-based applications, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
- Working knowledge of backend languages such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Java.
- Solid hands-on experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, including reviewing, testing, and validating generated work.
- Bonus: experience with mobile app development through React Native or native iOS/Android development.
