Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain accessible, well-tested React components, design tokens, and front-end tooling aligned with the enterprise design system.
  • Implement WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility practices, including semantic HTML, ARIA authoring, keyboard interaction, focus management, and assistive technology support.
  • Design durable component APIs with backwards compatibility, semantic versioning, deprecation paths, and migration guidance.
  • Extend the Next.js documentation platform, live code sandbox, examples, and Figma Code Connect integration to enable adoption.
  • Contribute to MCP server capabilities, Copilot agent skills, LLM-friendly documentation endpoints, and generative UI guardrails.
  • Help evolve a shared headless component core for web, mobile, and future platforms.
  • Triage issues, review external contributions, support delivery teams, and collaborate with designers, architects, and product teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience building production front-end applications or shared libraries, ideally in complex enterprise environments.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with React, TypeScript, and modern CSS.
  • Practical accessibility experience with semantic HTML, ARIA, focus and keyboard management, and assistive technology testing.
  • Experience building reusable libraries, design systems, or shared platforms consumed by other engineers.
  • Testing experience across unit, integration, visual regression, and automated accessibility checks.
  • Familiarity with monorepos, CI/CD, release automation, semantic versioning, agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, and continuous integration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining technical vision, trade-offs, and outcomes to engineers and leadership.
  • Preferred qualifications include curiosity about AI-assisted development, continuous learning, an entrepreneurial spirit, and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment.
