Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable microservices-based applications using JavaScript and React Native.
- Build reusable front-end features and components using JavaScript ES5 and ES6 standards.
- Integrate backend microservices with mobile and web interfaces.
- Optimize performance of applications hosted on AWS.
- Translate IT business support requirements into technical designs with product owners and IT operations teams.
- Review and enhance JavaScript and React Native codebases for maintainability and functionality.
- Apply secure coding practices and appropriate controls to protect operational data.
- Define test strategies and coordinate with quality engineering and support teams.
- Document technical designs, implementation details, and support procedures.
- Provide technical guidance to peers on JavaScript and React Native patterns.
- Analyze AWS production issues and implement durable fixes.
- Evaluate new tools and practices in the JavaScript and cloud ecosystem.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to prioritize backlog items and deliver enhancements.
Requirements
- Seven to ten years of professional software engineering experience with deep hands-on JavaScript expertise.
- Strong proficiency in React Native for mobile application development.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures running on AWS.
- Understanding of AWS services for compute, storage, networking, monitoring, application hosting, and integration.
- Experience with IT business support domains, including ticketing workflows, service management processes, and operational dashboards.
- Competence with version control, code review, and agile delivery practices.
- Exposure to other modern JavaScript frameworks or libraries is preferred.
- Clear communication and structured documentation skills.
