Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 security and collaboration platforms.
- Manage and enforce security policies across Microsoft 365 services.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and related security features.
- Monitor Microsoft 365 environments for suspicious activity and security posture gaps.
- Administer secure collaboration and external sharing controls for Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
- Support secure deployment and governance of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Review and remediate Microsoft Secure Score recommendations.
- Maintain tenant configuration standards and governance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and respond to Microsoft 365-related security incidents.
- Act as an escalation point for complex security and administration issues.
- Participate in incident response activities related to Microsoft 365 services.
- Support audit, compliance, eDiscovery, and forensic investigations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of incidents and operational changes.
- Contribute to security awareness initiatives and user education.
- Monitor security alerts and develop reporting for operational visibility.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
- Support integration of Microsoft 365 logs into SIEM/SOAR platforms.
- Assist with development and tuning of alerting and policies.
- Partner with teams to implement secure Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Support Data Loss Prevention and information protection initiatives.
- Participate in governance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
- 4-6+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Hands-on experience with Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive.
- Experience implementing Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and security features.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 identity and access management.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 security operations.
- Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for administration and reporting.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview compliance capabilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot administration and security considerations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
