Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement telecom components, applications, and services for Amazon Leo Commerce.
  • Build accessible, scalable solutions that work across devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with satellite, network, security, product, UX, marketing, and backend commerce engineering teams.
  • Use agentic development workflows and generative AI tools to accelerate feature delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure using AWS-native services.
  • Participate in code reviews and coach teammates on front-end best practices, UI design patterns, and maintainable coding standards.
  • Write software documentation and train new team members on how systems are constructed, tested, and operated.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, lawfully admitted refugee, or person granted asylum due to export-control requirements.
