Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy agentic AI solutions using Google ADK, Vertex AI Agent Builder, and agentic patterns.
- Own AI project lifecycles on Google Cloud from proof of concept and prototyping through production deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Build integrations with Gemini Enterprise, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, enterprise data sources, and business systems.
- Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol servers, connectors, and tool layers for governed access to business systems and data.
- Implement responsible AI safeguards covering bias detection, explainability, compliance monitoring, security, privacy, and operational limits.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA Specialists, Cloud Engineers, Security, Legal, and Data Governance teams.
- Operate in a forward-deployed model by embedding with portfolio teams, shipping rapid prototypes, and owning measurable business outcomes.
- Select and integrate Claude, Gemini, and open models while balancing cost, latency, accuracy, and operational durability.
- Create runbooks, monitoring, reusable patterns, templates, and training for business owners and the AI Delivery team.
- Measure deployment usage, cycle-time reduction, hours returned, error rates, and escalation rates, and communicate results to stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or AI/ML solution delivery with Google Cloud Platform expertise.
- Hands-on experience with Google Vertex AI, including model deployment, endpoint management, and AI agent development.
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals and agentic patterns such as ReAct, planning, tool use, and function calling.
- Proficiency in Python, Google ADK, Vertex AI SDK, and data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Experience with Google Cloud services including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and Pub/Sub, plus MLOps practices including Vertex AI Pipelines.
- Demonstrated success building and deploying AI/ML models and solutions into production on cloud platforms.
- Experience in a forward-deployed role with ownership of business outcomes.
- Experience integrating AI or automation into enterprise SaaS platforms through APIs, webhooks, event streams, or middleware.
- Working knowledge of at least one non-Google model provider, such as Anthropic Claude or OpenAI, including function calling and tool use.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
