Base Salary
$130k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design high-level software architecture for vehicle integration and test operations.
- Create reusable, scalable software testing infrastructure and tooling for multiple testing campaigns and vehicle generations.
- Integrate flight software with ground software and test infrastructure.
- Refine electrical-engineering specifications to validate critical flight components.
- Support development from initial proposal through successful testing and flight.
- Create tools for large test campaigns and delegate or mentor junior engineers.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring teammates.
- Participate in rotating on-call support to troubleshoot flight and production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent background knowledge.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python or another high-level object-oriented scripting language.
- Experience designing software systems and test architectures, tooling, or frameworks.
- Experience with Linux and shell command-line tools.
- Strong hands-on design and development capability in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus: experience with relational or time-series databases, embedded systems, or mentoring junior engineers.
