Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Transformer-based and other deep learning models.
- Evaluate AI architectures and recommend evidence-based improvements.
- Build reference implementations using PyTorch or JAX.
- Develop reproducible experiments and benchmark model accuracy, latency, and resource utilization.
- Fine-tune foundation models for telecommunications and enterprise use cases.
- Prepare datasets and evaluation pipelines with data scientists.
- Integrate machine learning models into production environments with software engineering teams.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend optimization strategies.
- Document model designs, assumptions, and validation results.
- Support junior team members and contribute to shared engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 6+ years of industry experience developing machine learning or AI solutions.
- Experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Strong understanding of Transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, embeddings, and LLM fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Python and modern machine learning development workflows.
- Familiarity with model evaluation, experimentation, and performance analysis.
- Experience with Git and collaborative software development practices.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.
- Preferred: experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models.
- Preferred: experience applying AI to wireless communications, networking, or telecommunications.
- Preferred: familiarity with Hugging Face, ONNX, MLflow, Ray, or similar machine learning tooling.
- Preferred: experience with distributed training or inference optimization.
- Preferred: knowledge of MLOps and CI/CD practices for AI systems.
