Base Salary
$140k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Advance and maintain backend microservices while addressing critical technical concerns.
- Build globally distributed, fault-tolerant, scalable cloud solutions for detecting and countering cyber threats.
- Innovate with large language models to develop and refine Charlotte AI capabilities.
- Construct and maintain data pipelines, perform data upkeep, and contribute to training and implementing custom LLMs.
- Collaborate across teams to define and implement solutions.
- Develop, test, deploy, monitor, and improve software with strong coding quality, testing, logging, metrics, and resilient architecture.
- Contribute to product architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor fellow engineers and support ongoing team learning.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or professional experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Experience with language models, data science, and data engineering.
- Prior experience with big data and microservices.
- Understanding of scalability and distributed systems, including sharding, partitioning, and concurrency.
- Strong understanding of engineering best practices, testing, peer code reviews, resilient architecture, and continuous integration.
- Ability to work in a test-driven, collaborative, iterative environment and deliver high-quality, regularly reviewed and tested software.
- Experience with Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, or Elasticsearch is a bonus.
- Cybersecurity or intelligence-field experience is a bonus.
