Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the UniFi Design Android app for planning network layouts, configuring hardware racks, and syncing floor plans from UniFi Design Center.
- Create powerful, easy-to-use mobile applications with a high-quality user experience.
- Write efficient code with attention to CPU and memory performance.
- Collaborate individually and with developers across multiple global R&D sites.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience releasing and maintaining successful Android apps.
- Experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines and Flow, kotlinx.serialization, Gradle with Kotlin DSL, version catalogs, KSP, and multi-module Android projects.
- Experience with ktlint, static analysis in CI, Jetpack Compose, Retrofit, OkHttp, GraphQL with Apollo Kotlin, Room, DataStore, SQLCipher, and security-crypto.
- Experience with Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, FCM, Google Maps Compose, Places and Location Services, runtime permissions, app startup, and deep links.
- Experience with JUnit, coroutines-test, Turbine, Compose UI tests, Espresso, and Play Store/Firebase App Distribution release automation.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude and Codex.
- Highly proficient in written and spoken English.
- WebRTC and BLE experience is a nice-to-have.
