Senior Software Engineer - Postgres

Base Salary
$140k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for managing database clusters in ClickHouse Cloud.
- Extend the platform control plane to support new Postgres capabilities.
- Contribute to automation and tooling for cluster provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, SRE, and product teams for operational excellence.
- Develop APIs and integrations for new Postgres functionality.
- Improve observability and debugging workflows for database services.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and on-call rotations.
- Operate with autonomy to identify opportunities and drive execution.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with database or cloud platform systems.
- Deep understanding of Postgres, including configuration and performance tuning.
- Strong programming experience in Ruby, Go, or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, and automation tools.
- Understanding of distributed systems and service orchestration patterns.
- Pragmatic and detail-oriented mindset with operational ownership.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
