Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, maintain, debug, and configure enterprise and mission applications using Java/J2EE and potentially C++.
- Perform systems analysis, technical support, problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
- Develop and modify software for Unix/Linux environments using coding standards, configuration management, and disciplined build and integration processes.
- Conduct benchmark testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and program documentation.
- Collaborate with system support groups and cross-functional teams to resolve problems, establish standards, and improve operating-environment efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute to improvements in software development lifecycle tools and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field plus 2 years of experience; alternatively, a related master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience or 6 years of relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
- Current, active, in-scope government-issued Secret security clearance required at the time of application and to start.
- Experience with Java/J2EE or alternate object-oriented development; additional C++ experience is desired.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices, including coding standards, configuration management, and disciplined development workflows.
- Experience developing software for Unix/Linux environments and understanding of systems engineering artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
- Ability to implement, integrate, and troubleshoot software components within larger systems, with effective written and oral communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Linux enterprise application development, Windows development, Agile practices, DevSecOps or build and release management, and familiarity with Maven, Git/GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse.
