Base Salary
$158k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive architecture and design decisions for robotic software systems covering perception, navigation, motor control, reasoning, and human-robot interaction.
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex software systems from design through production deployment and operational excellence.
- Collaborate across research, machine learning, hardware, and operations teams to deliver integrated robotic solutions.
- Define technical roadmaps and drive innovation, including production-level SDKs for developers.
- Design and implement systems and tools that accelerate development for multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
