Base Salary
$254k - $328k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own AI features end-to-end from problem definition through general availability, including initiative classification, narratives, work codes, daily themes, compliance, and vision extraction.
- Advance features through prototype, design partner, beta, and general availability rollout tiers using evaluation baselines and capacity plans.
- Build golden datasets, feature-specific north-star metrics, offline evaluations, and online monitoring to measure and prove output quality.
- Lead semantic retrieval, embedding quality, context assembly, prompt optimization, and per-customer or per-firm generation.
- Co-design vector and knowledge-graph stores with the AI Platform team.
- Work with product managers, designers, engineers, product pods, and customers to define requirements and success measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience shipping ML/LLM-powered features to production and owning their quality.
- Deep knowledge of LLM application engineering, including prompting, structured outputs, retrieval/context assembly, RAG, and agentic workflows.
- Strong experience with evaluation methods such as golden datasets, offline harnesses, online monitoring, and north-star metrics.
- Experience with retrieval, embeddings, vector search, semantic retrieval quality, and data or label flywheels.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript; familiarity with Node.js, NestJS, MongoDB, and message queues is preferred.
- Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, customer engagement, ownership, and prioritization skills.
