Base Salary
$244k - $305k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop a long-term Reliability roadmap and serve as a strategic technical partner across the organization.
- Design, implement, and influence company-wide SRE architecture, engineering practices, innovation, and standards.
- Create scalable incident management processes, assess incident response, and reduce operational toil.
- Develop production readiness standards, automate reliability processes, configure systems as code, predict failures, and implement reliable design patterns.
- Optimize infrastructure and platforms for high availability and performance while partnering with engineering teams on large-scale distributed systems.
- Build partnerships with engineering leaders, support blameless postmortems, and mentor and lead Site Reliability Engineers.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including significant system architecture and design experience in consumer-facing technology companies.
- 5+ years of experience as a senior-level technical lead or architect driving technical direction and strategy across multiple teams or projects.
- Strong expertise building and scaling high-availability systems and platforms with a deep understanding of multi-cloud environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and cross-organizational influence skills.
