Base Salary
$199k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy offline object detection, tracking, and sensor-fusion modules for automatically creating annotations from logged camera, lidar, and radar data.
- Develop offline perception models and algorithms using disciplined software development, version control, code reuse, and documentation practices.
- Define and implement ingestion, data preparation, curation, and governance for large datasets supporting analytics and ML workflows.
- Measure and track auto-labeling quality against internal customer requirements.
- Assess capabilities and recommend technical improvements that increase productivity, quality, and operational reliability.
- Develop standards and guidelines for analytics and machine learning models, their deployment, and related processes.
- Lead project execution, guide less experienced team members, and provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship.
- Produce information products that improve visualization and data accessibility for customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field plus typically acquired competencies from 6+ years of experience, or a master’s degree plus 3+ years of experience.
- Experience with active learning, pseudo-labeling, computer vision, deep learning, and model training.
- Expertise in at least two of 2D/3D object detection, tracking, sensor fusion, semantic segmentation, SLAM, and BEV.
- Experience with MLOps, experiment tracking, model registries, ML metrics, and model evaluation or quality.
- Experience with distributed machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Lightning, and Ray.
- Experience processing curated model data in Parquet and related data-processing tools.
- Proficiency in Python, VDI and cloud-based development environments, CI systems such as GitHub Actions, and Docker.
- Ability to own technical solutions, drive alignment, guide project execution, and mentor engineers.
- Preferred experience with schema design, AWS storage and processing infrastructure, vector databases, MCAP, data visualization, Terraform, AWS managed services, HyperPods, Anyscale, and model inference orchestration.
