Base Salary
$170k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code for distributed, containerized, and cloud-native application lifecycles.
- Architect, deploy, operate, and secure Kubernetes platforms and highly available clusters across AWS and other cloud environments.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for testing, security scanning, deployment, and release management.
- Implement GitOps workflows and support platform-hosted services for tenant application teams across multiple impact levels.
- Provide secure multi-tenant access to cloud-native services and maintain Kubernetes networking using Calico, Cilium, or equivalent CNIs.
- Develop automation that improves platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Deploy and support observability platforms for monitoring and logging.
- Collaborate with software, platform, security engineers, and customer stakeholders to integrate security throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying, operating, and securing production Kubernetes and Docker environments.
- Experience provisioning, hardening, and maintaining compliant Kubernetes clusters and operating highly available distributed services.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, Helm Charts, and container networking technologies such as Calico and Cilium.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab Runners.
- Experience with software packaging, artifact repositories, build automation, monitoring, and logging solutions.
- Must hold CISM, CISSP, Security X, CISA, CCISO, CCNP Security, or GLSC certification.
- Must hold CKA, CKAD, CKS, or a similar certification.
- Must be local to the Scott Air Force Base, Illinois area and have an active Secret Clearance.
- Preferred experience includes Maven, Gradle, NPM, Yarn, Istio, enterprise cloud platforms, Python, Go, Argo CD, Flux, and DoD, federal, or highly regulated production environments.
