Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and microservices using established engineering and compliance practices.
- Implement and test software designs, maintain Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, and integrate APIs with backend systems, databases, and third-party services.
- Optimize API performance, scalability, and security across enterprise-level services.
- Participate in technical and design reviews, provide code-review feedback, and plan and execute product testing with quality assurance teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API performance and functional issues while supporting operational excellence.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in software product development and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Strong hands-on Java programming experience and proficiency with API development and microservices using Java/Spring Boot, Python/FastAPI/Flask, or .NET Core.
- Experience with React JS, REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2, JWT, API gateways, SQL/NoSQL databases, RDBMS, and Linux.
- Experience with Git, continuous integration tools, cloud deployments, scripting, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred experience with GraphQL, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, New Relic, Splunk, Postman, and gateway technologies such as AWS, Azure, WSO2, or Apigee.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, initiative, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies.
