Responsibilities
- Define high- and low-level designs for software solutions using AWS technology in large distributed environments.
- Architect, develop, and deploy medium to large software solutions for Amazon's accounting needs.
- Design foundational greenfield services that are scalable, reliable, and high performing.
- Solve high-scale data processing, queuing, and real-time analytics challenges involving millions of transactions per day.
- Drive architecture and technology choices for FinTech accounting products.
- Lead engineering and operational best practices and use data to improve them.
- Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, accountants, and Principal Engineers.
- Improve code quality, including security, readability, consistency, and maintainability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
