Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of enterprise-scale cloud platform programmes and AI-native infrastructure across Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake.
- Architect cloud environments for the compute, networking, storage and security needs of GenAI, ML and agentic workloads.
- Implement AIOps, intelligent monitoring, automated incident response and self-healing infrastructure capabilities.
- Design and deliver CI/CD platforms with AI-assisted deployment pipelines, automated testing and operational automation.
- Establish Infrastructure as Code practices and use AI-assisted code generation and review for platform delivery and governance.
- Lead cloud security, networking, identity and access management, compliance engineering, policy-as-code and automated governance.
- Design for platform resilience, FinOps, performance optimization, telemetry and observability.
- Develop agentic operations patterns and support autonomous and human-in-the-loop operational workflows.
- Mentor platform engineering teams, set technical direction and foster engineering excellence.
- Contribute to commercial propositions, bids, accelerators and reusable platform assets.
Requirements
- Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud platforms using one or more of Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or Snowflake.
- Advanced Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation or similar, including AI-assisted generation and governance.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD platforms with AI-assisted deployment and test automation.
- Experience with AIOps, platform observability, intelligent monitoring and self-healing or autonomously managed platforms.
- Experience in cloud security, networking, identity and access management, and policy-as-code engineering.
- Proven ability to design production environments for GenAI, ML and agentic workloads.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams, setting technical direction and driving high-quality delivery.
- Familiarity with agentic AI patterns and their implications for platform design, operations and governance.
- Preferred experience with agentic platform capabilities, AI-driven autonomous operations, enterprise FinOps, commercial propositions, client-facing accelerators, cloud governance and security engineering.
- Relevant advanced cloud, AI platform, machine learning or AI practitioner certifications are advantageous, including AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, Google Professional ML Engineer, Databricks Generative AI Engineer, Anthropic Claude Certified Architect, Microsoft Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect or AI Agent Builder Associate.
