Responsibilities
- Define the architecture and long-term direction of Rowden’s internal developer platform.
- Lead self-service provisioning, deployment workflows, and reusable modular platform capabilities.
- Establish patterns, guardrails, and runtime infrastructure for reliable agentic AI workloads.
- Define API-first integration strategies between systems, services, and external partners.
- Own CI/CD pipeline governance, infrastructure-as-code standards, and automation practices.
- Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, security, compliance, and platform reliability.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
- Drive strategic improvements to developer experience and reduce organisational engineering friction.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, building, and operating engineering platforms at scale.
- Deep knowledge of platform engineering, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, system design, service integration, and platform product thinking.
- Experience designing platforms for agentic AI workloads, including autonomous task execution, tool use, and model orchestration.
- Proven experience defining API strategies and integration layers for complex systems.
- Extensive production experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and FluxCD.
- Strong understanding of modular, composable, and scalable platform architectures.
- Expertise in observability, including logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Deep knowledge of secure-by-design and zero-trust principles applied at an architectural level.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, such as Python, Go, or similar.
- Experience providing technical leadership across cross-functional teams and building alignment.
- Candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance.
