Responsibilities
- Define and evolve enterprise Observability and AIOps strategy, architecture principles, target architecture, and roadmap.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior technology, operations, and business stakeholders and make architectural recommendations.
- Lead end-to-end Splunk platform architecture, including scalability, resilience, security, performance, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.
- Define telemetry, data-ingestion, integration, and coexistence patterns across applications, infrastructure, cloud, networks, and service management.
- Own observability architecture governance, including high-level designs, reference architectures, standards, design decisions, and assurance.
- Evaluate emerging capabilities, engage vendors, and influence platform direction through innovation and technology assessment.
Requirements
- Strong track record defining observability strategies and architectures for complex enterprise-scale environments.
- Deep understanding of telemetry, service-centric monitoring, SLOs, SLIs, topology, event management, AIOps, operational analytics, and experience monitoring.
- Proven ownership of end-to-end Splunk architecture in enterprise on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
- Strong knowledge of Splunk deployment patterns, data collection, forwarding, indexing, search, clustering, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and access control.
- Demonstrable Splunk IT Service Intelligence experience with service models, entities, KPIs, dependencies, service health, event correlation, episodes, and operational dashboards.
- Ability to translate target architectures into implementation-ready high-level designs and provide technical authority throughout delivery.
- Executive-level communication, architecture writing, visual communication, advisory, mentoring, and cross-functional alignment skills.
- Strong understanding of ITIL, ITSM, Service Operations, ServiceNow, public and hybrid cloud, platform engineering, OpenTelemetry, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices and how to embed observability throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Knowledge of AIOps, operational intelligence, event correlation, anomaly detection, Generative AI, AI assistants, and intelligent operational workflows.
