Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable batch and streaming data platform capabilities.
  • Build low-latency services for stream ingestion, processing, and model inference.
  • Enable data catalog, data lineage, data exploration, and self-service pipeline development and deployment.
  • Implement data security architectures and controls across the platform.
  • Manage model deployment, monitoring, CI/CD for data pipelines, and platform observability.
  • Maintain high availability for production data platforms, targeting 99.99% availability.
  • Contribute to projects across the full development lifecycle from concept through release.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of platform engineering experience deploying and maintaining scalable data platforms in high-traffic production environments.
  • Proficiency with streaming architectures such as Kafka, Flink, or PubSub and low-latency services supporting model inference under 100 milliseconds.
  • Proficiency with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, and cluster-level management.
  • Deep experience managing the full data lifecycle and building data exploration environments.
  • Expertise in Python and Go, with deep experience using cloud services such as GCP or AWS.
  • Experience with Spark, Flink, Kafka or Kinesis, Argo or Airflow, Polaris, OpenMetadata, Iceberg, Redis, Elasticsearch, databases, package management, and library development.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred experience implementing infrastructure and deployment best practices for large-scale data platforms.
  • Preferred background in daily fantasy sports, oddsmaking, or high-frequency trading.
  • Preferred experience bridging batch historical data with real-time event streams and enabling AI agents or AI-assisted coding.
