Base Salary
$170k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Starlink security infrastructure, including cryptographic and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
- Collaborate productively with other engineering teams to deliver secure and reliable internet services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional experience in security software development, or 7+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, including Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other large-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience includes contributing security improvements to complex systems and working with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules.
- Preferred knowledge includes network protocols, the TCP/IP stack, and UDP-based protocols.
- An advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
