Base Salary
$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the full biosignal-based algorithm development lifecycle for medical devices, including requirements, data curation and labeling, development, failure analysis, production, maintenance, and documentation.
- Select, implement, and develop appropriate statistical, signal-processing, machine learning, and deep learning methods for each problem.
- Improve internal machine learning and deep learning tools, model architectures, algorithmic techniques, and reusable code to support rapid experimentation.
- Apply and promote best practices including unit testing, comprehensive documentation, CI, non-regression testing, version control, code reviews, Dockerization, and experiment tracking.
- Present algorithm results to stakeholders and support client-facing projects involving deployed and future algorithms.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of industry experience in machine learning and deep learning, particularly in health sciences or other regulated fields, with a record of bringing algorithms into production.
- Experience with digital signal processing and statistics, including judgment about when methods other than machine learning or deep learning are appropriate.
- Proficiency with PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks for training, developing, and deploying deep learning models.
- Proficiency with current deep learning advances including Transformers, Vision Transformers, large-scale modeling, and large model training.
- Experience with biosignals, medical imaging data, or large time-series datasets, or enthusiasm for learning the domain.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics appropriately to internal and external audiences and collaborate across technical, scientific, clinical, and client-facing teams.
