Responsibilities
- Conduct and facilitate threat modeling sessions covering assets, trust boundaries, attack paths, risks, and mitigations.
- Threat model AI and LLM-powered systems, including agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, tool and plugin integrations, and MCP servers.
- Evaluate AI security risks including prompt injection, data leakage, excessive agency, insecure output handling, and inappropriate data access.
- Develop AI security guidance, reference architectures, and secure design patterns using OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications and MITRE ATLAS.
- Perform security reviews, adversarial prompt testing, and validation of guardrails, permissions, and data access controls.
- Develop automation and tooling for threat modeling and AI security reviews, including templates, workflows, scripts, and LLM-assisted tools.
- Track security findings through remediation and partner with Product and Engineering teams on risk-based solutions.
- Create technical documentation, training, and security best practices for secure AI-enabled product development.
Requirements
- Foundational understanding of application security principles and secure software design.
- Familiarity with threat modeling methods including STRIDE, data flow diagrams, and attack trees.
- Working knowledge of LLM application design, development, and security risks.
- Ability to develop automation and security tooling using Python, Go, or an equivalent language.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted IDEs or coding agents in software development workflows.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred experience includes AI/ML threat modeling or security testing, AI red teaming, LLM API or agent framework integrations, and MCP development.
- Preferred familiarity with OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, NIST AI RMF, and cloud-native or containerized environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering and security stakeholders.
